Route of Tour of Britain's Cumbrian stage is revealed

The Cumbrian stage of this year's Tour of Britain cycle race will include a challenging ascent of Honister Pass in the Lake District.

Details of the route were revealed this week at a launch event at the Honister slate mine.

Cyclist Jack Pullar said the "short, sharp climbs" of the Cumbrian route would suit UK cyclists more than their continental counterparts.
