Drigg low-level nuclear waste store fears dismissed by firm
The low-level nuclear waste store at Drigg in West Cumbria will continue to operate despite fears the site will eventually be eroded by rising sea levels.
The concern was raised in a document released by the Environment Agency in response to a Freedom of Information Request from The Guardian newspaper.
But the site's operators say even in the worst-case scenario the impact on life and the environment will be insignificant.
