Preventing a return behind bars

Portland Young Offenders Institution has begun pairing up inmates so vulnerable youngsters receive advice and support from older mentors.

The aim of the initiative is to cut the numbers of those returning to crime back on the outside.

BBC South Today's Simon Clemison was given special access to see what life is like for the 500 inmates.
