Woman to hear grandma's voice through a bench in Chelmsford

Sarah Weald pressed a button on a bench while waiting for her daughter, only to hear her grandmother - who died in 2002 - talking back at her.

As reported in the Essex Chronicle, Muriel Lee had been interviewed about her childhood for an Essex archive, which was later used in a "listening bench" in Backnang Square in Chelmsford, Essex.

The bench plays clips that show how the city has changed over the last 100 years.
