Dog attacks on New Forest livestock rises

Police in the New Forest have raised concerns about a growing number of dog attacks on sheep and cattle.

In one recent incident a farmer had to shoot dead two dogs at night as they were savaging a flock of pregnant ewes.

The National Farmers Union said it was also seeing a rise in insurance claims by farmers as a result of such attacks.
