Alvechurch School coach crash parents shocked

Parents at Alvechurch School in Worcestershire said the whole community had been shocked by the crash in north France on Sunday which killed a teacher.

Peter Rippington, a 59-year-old Maths and PE teacher, died when a coach returning from a school skiing trip in Italy crashed on the A26 motorway in northern France.

The coach went down a motorway embankment in the Champagne-Ardenne region, near Rheims.

More than 20 people were injured in the crash and 11 remain in hospital, prosecutor Christian de Rocquigny said.
