Released aid worker John Sorbo remained 'positive'

The wife of released aid worker John Sorbo said he had remained "positive" despite his imprisonment in Sudan.

John Sorbo, 50, a mine clearing expert from Herefordshire, was one of four people arrested last month while working for the Norwegian People's Aid charity.

His wife Becs said while the reason for his imprisonment was still unclear, news of his release had come as a surprise.

Ms Sorbo said she had spoken him on the phone and he seemed to be coping well.

She said it was not yet clear when he would return to the UK.
