Herefordshire roads hit by heavy snow

Herefordshire Council has said it had 15 gritters working to treat more than 500 miles of roads in the county after heavy snowfalls.

The council said it also had a network of community groups gritting roads in villages and parishes.

Countryside rangers from Queenswood Country Park have been using a tractor to help lorries up Dinmore Hill on the A49 in Herefordshire.

The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for Herefordshire on Friday.
