Protest as aid convoy stopped at Dover

A protest is taking place at the Port of Dover after a convoy of aid intended for migrants in Calais was stopped by the French authorities.

The protesters chanted: "Let us through, we've got aid", as their vehicles were halted.

Kent Police said it had been notified by the French authorities the convoy had been refused entry to France.

"No agency within the United Kingdom has any grounds to challenge this decision," it said in a statement.
