Ethel the bulldog puppy needs heart operation

Ethel, a bulldog puppy, suffered pneumonia when she was just three weeks old.

Rescued by an animal charity near Faversham, Kent she and her two litter-mates spent a week in an oxygen tent to help them breathe.

Ethel's brother died, but she and her sister survived.

Now she needs an urgent operation on her heart, otherwise she may not survive until Christmas.
