Married GPs celebrate a century of working for the NHS

A married couple who are both GPs are celebrating a joint milestone of working for the NHS for 50 years.

Mridul and Saroj Datta met while training in India before moving to Blackburn, where they married and eventually started a GP practice.

Aged 81, they have served several generations of the same families over the past five decades, and say they have no plans to retire yet.
