Leicestershire boat charity gets Jubilee honour

A Leicestershire charity has been honoured with a special award during the Queen's Diamond Jubilee - 35 years after it was formed in the Queen's Silver Jubilee year.

The Peter Le Marchant Trust, which runs boat trips for the disabled and seriously ill, has been given a Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

Based in Loughborough, the charity has provided thousands of free trips over the years.
