Market Harborough blogger's internet plea for Niger

A Leicestershire internet blogger, who has been using social networking sites to raise issues in Niger, is hoping UK and overseas governments will take action to help.

Sian To, from Market Harborough, has returned from a trip to West Africa with the charity World Vision.

She uses blogging and Twitter to inform followers about the needs of people in developing countries and to encourage fund-raising.

Ms To said more than six million people are facing famine in Niger.
