England beat India at Russian Egg Roulette

A team of egg athletes has beaten India at the first test match in the World Russian Egg Roulette Series.

The event took place last week in Amritsar.

Andy Dunlop, president of the World Egg Throwing Federation - based in Lincolnshire - organised the event to raise Rotary money to help eradicate polio.

He said: "It was a close match, going to the final egg, despite having honed our skills in reiki, aura differentia and egg divining.

"We were losing in the initial stages due to the use of foreign eggs."
