East Midlands Trains defends £110m subsidy

East Midlands Trains has now now received £110m of government money to compensate for low ticket revenue, the BBC has learned.

After a Freedom of Information request the company and South Derbyshire MP Heather Wheeler said the money was part of a deal which led to improved services.
