East London traders claim parking restrictions 'ruining trade'

Traders in east London have said that parking restrictions are ruining their businesses.

They claim the increased number of controlled parking zones across the capital mean it is harder for people to shop on the high street.

However, councils say the restrictions are necessary and that residents want them.

Angela Walker speaks to Stephen Davies, of Davies Fishmongers in Leyton, Ian Linsdall from Ditchfields toy shop, Janet Ferguson from Teasals Yarncrafts, Marie Pye, from Waltham Forest District Council, and Theodoula Philippou from Princess boutique.
