London Bridge commuters facing years of disruption
Travellers using London Bridge station face years of disruption when refurbishment work begins next year as part of the Thameslink upgrade.
New platforms will be built along with the UK's largest concourse, new lifts, escalators and entrances in Tooley Street and St Thomas Street.
Work is due to begin in May 2013, affecting Southern, Thameslink and Southeastern services until 2018, Network Rail said.
Opened in 1836, London Bridge is the capital's oldest station and is used by 50 million people every year.
