How the Coronation transformed TV

The Queen's Coronation was the first live television broadcast in June 1953.

The event led to a surge in sales of television sets as millions watched Queen Elizabeth II take the Coronation Oath.

However, many felt the cameras should not have been allowed into Westminster Abbey at all.

BBC London reporter Sarah Harris spoke to Peter Dimmock, former BBC head of television, The Very Reverend Dr John Hall, the Dean of Westminster, and BBC Producer Giles Harrison.
