Bid to return war plaques to church

Historians are hoping that memorial plaques commemorating those from Dulwich who died in World War I will be reinstated in a local church.

Residents want the plaques, which have been missing for decades, returned to the church where many of the fallen soldiers worshiped.

But the church said it could not accommodate the plan as it had no room for the plaques on its walls.

BBC London's Sarah Harris spoke to Brian Green of the Dulwich Society and Gordon Hall, a military historian.
