Crime victims 'failed' by Met Police

The Metropolitan Police have been accused of failing victims of crime, after figures suggest police write off almost half of all reported incidents.

Conservatives on the London Assembly said figures they had obtained show more than 75% of car theft reports were not pursued.

But the Met said every allegation of criminal activity was properly investigated.

Crime victim Michael McClusky and Roger Evans, a Conservative on the Assembly give their reaction to the figures.
