Demonstration over GP funding cuts in east London

Hundreds of people in Whitechapel have demonstrated against cuts to the NHS which protesters claim could lead to the closure of GP surgeries.

The government has started to phase out extra money given to deprived areas, which means a number of surgeries in east London, could close.

BBC London reporter Richard Slee spoke to GP Dr Spiros Symniaou, MP for Bethnal Green and Bow Rushnara Ali, and local resident Danny Curry.
