Lightning strikes Stratford tower block twice

A tower block in Stratford was struck by lightning twice as wild weather hit London overnight.

The strikes, seen here in slow-motion, hit the Capital Towers shortly after 02:00 BST and were followed by further flashes.

The footage was captured by BBC journalist Peter Ball from Bow in east London.
