Teenager detained over attack on man in Luton

A teenage burglar who attacked a man in his Luton home and left him for dead in a burglary that went wrong has been ordered to be detained for 12 years.

The 16 year old, who cannot be named, was convicted of wounding Tony Abrahams, 48, who was stabbed four times last November.

He was cleared of attempted murder. His two accomplices have not been caught.

Passing the custodial sentence at Luton Crown Court, Judge Richard Foster ordered the boy to serve a further five years on licence.
