Nottingham parents oppose five-term school year

Some parents in Nottingham who are opposed to a proposed change to a five-term school year have staged a protest outside the Nottingham Council House.

The city council, which has backed the changes, said it believed pupils would achieve better results with a shorter summer holiday.

The move has resulted in several one-day strikes by teachers in the city.

BBC East Midlands Today's Simon Ward reports.
