Nottinghamshire woman loses baby after 999 wait

A Nottinghamshire mother is blaming a one-hour wait for an ambulance for the death of her unborn baby.

Sarah Gould, 21, of Retford, said her unborn child would probably have survived if she had reached the hospital sooner.

East Midlands Ambulance Service, which denies that cuts have hit its frontline services, said a paramedic was sent immediately and an ambulance sent "as soon as one became available".

BBC's John Hess reports.
