Casey Brittle's mother's refuge plea

The mother of a Nottingham woman killed by her partner is campaigning for more help for victims of domestic abuse.

Mother-of-one Casey Brittle, 21, was found with fatal injuries at her house in Springfield Street, New Basford, Nottingham, on 3 October 2010.

Her former partner, Sanchez Williams, 27, admitted the attack on Ms Brittle.

In March 2011, he was given a life sentence and told he must spend a minimum of 15 years in prison. This was later increased to at least 20 years.

Miss Brittle's mother, Victoria Blowers, said more safe places for victims of domestic abuse were needed.
