Nottingham Station work: Rail passengers told to expect disruption

Nottingham's rail station closes completely for six weeks between 20 July and 25 August for development work.

The Robin Hood line from Worksop to Nottingham will be shut and replacement buses will carry passengers between Nottingham and East Midlands Parkway.

Passengers say they are worried about longer journey times but rail campaigner David Thornhill says the work "in the long term will be beneficial".

East Midlands trains says the work is "essential" to cope with increasing demand for rail travel in the future.
