Sherwood Pines World War I trench set to open next year

Work has begun on building a replica World War I trench in the Sherwood Pines, Nottinghamshire.

The Clipstone Camp was one of the biggest training centres in England, accommodating up to 30,000 people.

Chris Bray and Hugh Mannall from the Forestry Commission, which is behind the project, said it would give visitors an idea of the conditions troops would have experienced.
