Averham's village theatre reopens after seven years

A Nottinghamshire village theatre which suddenly closed seven years ago after failing a safety inspection is due to reopen on Tuesday.

The Robin Hood Theatre, in Averham near Newark, was home to a theatre group which fought for the reopening.

The Robin Hood Theatre Company raised more than £50,000 towards making safety improvements to comply with regulations.

BBC East Midlands Today's Geeta Pendse joined the company for its final dress rehearsal ahead of opening night.
