PCC Paddy Tipping suggests electronic tags for shoplifters
To tackle the problem of shoplifting in Nottinghamshire, the county's police and crime commissioner Paddy Tipping has suggested electronically tagging persistent offenders.
Mr Tipping said he had been in talks with retailers in the area to get their views.
It comes after the county saw a 19% increase in shoplifting crimes last year, which was the second highest increase for a force in England and Wales.
