Oxford research finds that men are 'taken in' by red price stickers

Researchers in Oxford have found that men are more likely to react to a bargain if a price is displayed in red.

The group from the University of Oxford's Said Business School has been studying the buying habits of men and women.

Nancy Puccinelli concluded that men used "shortcuts" such as colour to make a judgement.
