Boaters bid to claim Oxford's Jericho waterfront stretch

A group of boaters has defended its decision to take over a stretch of the waterfront at Jericho in Oxford.

The houseboat owners say nobody owns the land, and they are hoping to make a claim for it.

The group says it has done work to improve the area, but some local residents say its boats are in the way and are an eyesore.

BBC South's Victoria Cook reports.
