Nicola Blackwood: Loss a 'great disappointment'

Lib Dem Layla Moran has won the Oxfordshire seat of Oxford West and Abingdon from Conservative Nicola Blackwood.

She won it by 816 votes - 26,252 to 25,440 - with an almost 15% swing away from the Tories.

Ms Moran described it as an "extraordinary result" and said she was "absolutely delighted" to have been elected.

For Ms Blackwood it was a "great disappointment" but she said serving the constituency had been a "tremendous privilege".
