Somerset village builds small replica Buckingham Palace

A scaled-down replica of Buckingham Palace has been built in Somerset as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Work started on the 20ft high by 60ft wide model in April. It has been mainly built from donated materials and recycled goods.

The palace will take centre stage at Horton's Party at the Palace event in the village of Horton, situated 8km (5 miles) north of Chard, on Saturday.

Organiser Roger Allen said he was "absolutely delighted" with the final result.
