Firefighters in South Yorkshire have been learning sign language to help communicate with deaf people in an emergency.
Key phrases like "how many people are in the house" means that South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue can deal with a fire or emergency effectively.
A number of firefighters in Doncaster have undergone training, with more expected to learn the skill.
