Two Lowestoft men arrested after burglars attack women

Two women were attacked during a robbery at their house in Lowestoft in Suffolk on Bank Holiday Monday.

One, a 47-year-old, is in intensive care in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, with a fractured skull. The other, aged 28, was released after being treated in the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston.

Suffolk Police believe the two women knew the people who broke into the terraced house.

Two men, both from Lowestoft, have been arrested, one on suspicion of conspiracy to burgle, the other on suspicion of attempted murder.
