Lowestoft's Bascule Bridge: £230,000 repair work at night

The Bascule Bridge, linking north and south Lowestoft, is undergoing essential repair work.

Highways England is fixing the lifting mechanism which enables the road bridge to open to allow vessels in and out of the town's inner harbour, Lake Lothing and Oulton Broad.

About 13,600 road vehicles use the bridge every day.
