Daughter killer Dunford went from 'carer to killer'

The judge has told a woman who killed her daughter: "You've done your level best to lie your way out of it."

Lesley Dunford, 33, now of Windermere Close in Exeter, Devon, was sentenced to seven years in prison at Lewes Crown Court for the manslaughter of her daughter Lucy at their former home in Camber in East Sussex.

The judge told Dunford: "It may well be that you are the only one who knows exactly what happened on that dreadful day in 2004 that took you from carer to killer."
