Production of new Nissan Note starts in Sunderland

Nissan has started production of its new Note car at Sunderland.

The move follows a £125m investment by the Japanese car maker in its Wearside base.

The company secured a £9.3m grant from the government's Regional Growth Fund.

However, it has been revealed that if the government had not given the company the cash, it would have built the car in its Indian factory.

Look North's Business Correspondent Ian Reeve reports.
