Operation Sandpiper: Emergency services tested in Stockton and Hartlepool

Emergency services on Teesside have been put to the test in a major exercise which included a dramatised terrorist attack and armed robbery.

Operation Sandpiper is taking place over two days and involves police, local authorities, ambulance crews and other medical staff.

Students from Hartlepool College were drafted in to act as casualties.
