Belfast riots: 56 police injured during parade protests

Fifty-six police officers were injured during loyalist protests against a republican parade in central Belfast on Friday, police have confirmed.

Plastic bullets were fired and eight arrests made amid sustained rioting in Royal Avenue.

The trouble has raised concerns about another Republican march, which is due to take place on Sunday.

Chris Buckler reports.
