Hyponatraemia inquiry: Mother criticises death payout following daughter death

A mother from Londonderry has called the £40,000 in compensation the family received following the death of their daughter as an 'insult'.

Nine-year-old Raychel Ferguson died a day after an appendix operation at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry.

Speaking outside court, Raychel's mother Marie described the amount as an insult, saying the compensation system needs to change.
