PM's favourite cost-cutting council on partnerships

Town halls are being told to join what Eric Pickles has called the "coalition of thrift" and one London council has been ahead of the curve when it comes to cutting costs.

It has been voted council of the year by a trade magazine and adopted a model Chancellor George Osborne wants others to follow.

Adam Fleming headed west - not quite to Dallas - but to to Hammersmith and Fulham where he spoke to Conservative Stephen Greenhalgh and Labour's Stephen Cowan.
