UK and France treaty 'makes sense'

The new Head of the Armed Forces, General Sir David Richards, says it makes "a lot of sense" for the UK and France to agree to military co-operation.

He described it as an "exciting opportunity", with France and the UK having a "mutual understanding in the defence world".

Both countries are to sign treaties agreeing to military co-operation including testing of nuclear warheads.
