Jon Cruddas on Labour MPs' reaction to Phil Woolas

Jon Cruddas said Labour MPs feel "a sense of grievance" over the way Phil Woolas has been treated by the party.

He said there was "a quite tasty meeting" where Harriet Harman was rebuked by MPs over how the party reacted to the former immigration minister being stripped of his seat by a court.

But Michael Portillo said: "I don't see see how the Labour Party could have reacted differently".
