Tottenham Olympic plan 'would be disaster' says Tory MP
John Whittingdale, Conservative chair of the Culture Select Committee, claims the Tottenham Hotspur plan "would be a disaster" when it comes to deciding what happens to the Olympic Stadium in east London after the games are over.
Two clubs are bidding to take over the site - where Tottenham would demolish the new structure - but West Ham would keep the stadium with its running track.
Former MP Oona King, who lives near the stadium, is backing the West Ham plan.
