Age UK welcomes pension simplification

The charity Age UK says it welcomes the government's proposals to simplify the state pension system.

It's thought work and pensions secretary Iain Duncan Smith will announce a move towards a flat-rate payment for men and women at an event held by the charity on Tuesday.

But Age UK director Michelle Mitchell said that it was unclear who the winners and losers would be.
