AV referendum: Ashdown claims Labour "reneged on reform"

Labour has "reneged on reform" and "can't be trusted" with it, according to Liberal Democrat Lord Ashdown.

Speaking about the AV referendum on the BBC's Question Time, he said Labour splits would be to blame if the Yes to AV campaign loses. But he insisted the coalition government would survive.

The claims came ahead of a newspaper interview, in which Lord Ashdown accuses the Tories of a "breach of faith" over the AV referendum campaign.
