Yvette Cooper on Labour's election results
Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said Labour "made important progress" but still had more to do after gaining 800 English council seats.
She said: "This is just 12 months after a general election defeat in which we did badly, of course we did. But, we have seen a significant increase in our share of the vote."
