David Cameron reveals Labour role of NHS privatisation advisor

David Cameron was quizzed about why he had not sacked an NHS health advisor who has called for more privatisation in the NHS.

Labour MP Ian Lavery asked the question during PMQs, but the prime minister informed him that he had not heard of Mark Britnell.

And to cheers from Conservative MPs, he told the House that Mr Britnell had actually been been a commissioning director under Labour, and was appointed to an advisor to a strategic health authority under a Labour government.
